Teaching wives who grapple with divorce how to stay because of covenant

Greetings!!

How are you? Welcome back to another insightful edition of Covenant Level Loyalty, where we as wives dig deep into the nuances of marriage, how to strengthen them and remain married when we grapple with divorce.

Today, we’re shining a light on the eight “As” that can lead wives to contemplate divorce. Understanding these issues is crucial for navigating the ups and downs of marriage and fostering a loving partnership that lasts.

Let’s delve straight into these 8 “As”…

1. Abandonment

The greatest gift you can give someone is your time, your attention, your love, and your concern. — Joel Osteen

Women who stayed even when emotional neglect felt overwhelming sought God to supply their every need. (Phil 4:19)

Despite feeling abandoned, they found hope and strength within themselves through God’s grace and unconditional love.

Some women often endure feelings of being undervalued, yet they strive to keep the marraige together, searching for signs of affection and reassurance.

2. Arrears

Love is not about possession. Love is about appreciation.— Osho

Financial struggles can put a strain on any marriage.

Women who chose to stay when the financial burden became heavy deserves a crown.

Standing firm in love amidst financial stress, they sought to support their spouse while believing God for divine provision.

3. Aggression

In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.— Deepak Chopra

Conflict can be challenging, and patience wears thin during difficult times.

Some wives stayed when aggression reared its head, cultivating grace and resilience as they navigated through their disputes.

Many women hold on and for some of those that do, they hope their patience and understanding will help soften the hardest moments.

4. Addiction

Recovery is not a race. You don’t have to feel guilty if it takes you longer than you’d like.— Anonymous

When faced with addiction, women chose to stay, fueled by a deep sense of commitment.

Through love and prayer, they showed unwavering support, believing in the possibility of healing and redemption.

For some women, their covenant-level loyalty is a testament to their faith and dedication.

5. Affliction

Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.— Khalil Gibran

Life can be heavy, especially during chronic illness.

Women like you stayed when burdens felt too great, seeking community and strength in the midst of suffering.

Oftentimes, some women demonstrate immense courage and compassion, standing by their partners in the face of adversity.

6. Aloneness

The greatest thing in the world is to know how to belong to oneself. — Michel de Montaigne

As loneliness crept in, some women recognized the growing distance.

Instead of giving up, they stayed, talking things out to help address underlying issues.

Some women value connection and make efforts to reach out and mend what feels lost in their marriages.

7. Affairs

Forgiveness is not an occasional act; it is a constant attitude.— Martin Luther King Jr.

Through divine strength, some women chose to stay even after betrayal.

Engaging in tough conversations, they bravely worked towards healing and forgiveness.

No one said any of this is easy… so many women out there are driven by hope, believing that love can endure through the darkest of times.

8. Avoidance

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. — Alan Watts

Silence can be deafening in a relationship.

Some women stay when avoidance took hold, intentionally breaking barriers to experience the lost intimacy.

Other women pursue closeness because they desire open communication to clear up any misunderstandings and to rebuild connection.

These eight “As” represent profound challenges that can cause wives to consider divorce.

However, they also illuminate the incredible strength and resilience some women possess, especially those who stayed and honored their covenant.
